Understanding the Women Help Desk and Life Lessons
On 8th May 2025, the thirteenth day of the SPEL Phase 2 training, the NSS volunteers engaged in a session focused on women’s safety and personal growth.
Volunteers were introduced to the role and functioning of the Women Help Desk at police stations. They learned how these dedicated desks serve as a crucial support system for women in distress, providing a safe, approachable, and responsive point of contact within the police force.
In addition to the technical learning, the session also included an inspiring talk about life values and personal development, encouraging volunteers to build a purposeful and positive approach to life.
This session was both informative and motivational, strengthening the volunteers’ sense of empathy and social responsibility.
