On 4th May 2025, the ninth day of the SPEL Phase 2 training offered a mix of practical experience and administrative learning for the participating NSS volunteers. During the session at Thana Kidwai Nagar, an NSS volunteer assisted a woman at the police station, gaining real-time exposure to how the police handle public grievances and provide support. This act of service not only reinforced the values of empathy and civic responsibility but also demonstrated the practical role of citizens in assisting law enforcement. In addition, participants learned about the role and responsibilities of the Police Commissioner, understanding how the Commissionerate system operates, especially in urban areas like Kanpur. The session emphasized leadership roles within the police hierarchy and how policies are implemented at the top level.
