On 1st May 2025, the sixth day of the SPEL Phase 2 training focused on two critical areas: the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNNS) and the Mission Shakti initiative. Participants were introduced to various important sections of BNNS, which governs the procedural aspects of law enforcement in India. The session helped volunteers understand how these provisions guide police investigations, arrests, and citizen rights during legal procedures. Additionally, the session covered Mission Shakti, a state-level initiative aimed at women's safety, empowerment, and awareness. Volunteers learned about the objectives and various programs under this mission, enhancing their understanding of gender-sensitive policing and support mechanisms available for women in distress. The session was once again held at Thana Kidwai Nagar, with the next meeting scheduled for 02/05/2025 at 5:30 PM.
