The Seven-Day Special NSS Camp was successfully organized from 23 January to 29 January 2026 at Asha Ki Kiran Foundation, Kakadev / Baba Basti, Kanpur. Each day of the camp began with yoga and Zumba sessions, promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline, and enthusiasm among the volunteers.
The camp was inaugurated with an orientation programme, followed by a lecture on government schemes for youth, health, and social welfare by Ms. Anita Jaiswal. Volunteers conducted village visits, baseline surveys and participated in a tree plantation drive. A parallel crochet skill development workshop was introduced for selected students.

A warm welcome was extended to the Chief Guest, Dr. Shyam Mishra, NSS Coordinator, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (C.S.J.M.U.), Kanpur. The day also included a field activity on road safety awareness. Additionally, Prof. Hitaishi Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Home Science, A.N.D.N.N.M. Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur Nagar, delivered a lecture highlighting the significance of women’s education, skill development, innovation, financial independence, and entrepreneurship.
The crochet workshop progressed from basic training to designing, packaging, pricing, branding, quality enhancement, and marketing, promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance among students.
The camp concluded with a valedictory programme, reflecting on the learning experiences, community impact, and personal development of the volunteers. Overall, the camp successfully strengthened social responsibility, leadership, health awareness, and skill development among NSS volunteers.
