Self-Skill Development Programme for Women Empowerment on 25 February 2026
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit–II, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology of Acharya Narendra Dev Nagar Nigam Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Harsh Nagar, Kanpur, organized the Self-Skill Development Programme for Women Empowerment on 25 February 2026 as a follow-up to the Skill Development Workshop conducted during the Seven-Day Special NSS Camp in January.
A total of 60 students participated in the programme. The main objective was to strengthen the practical skills learned earlier and promote self-reliance, creativity, and women empowerment through skill-based learning.
Students practiced decorative flower-making techniques at home using their own materials and later presented their handmade products. Faculty members provided guidance and feedback to improve finishing and presentation.
The programme successfully enhanced creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial thinking among students while encouraging skill development and self-employment opportunities.
