Under the directives of the Department of Higher Education and Mission Shakti Phase–5.0 (Second Step), NSS Unit–2 program officer Dr. Jaya Bharti of Acharya Narendra Dev Nagar Nigam Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Harsh Nagar, Kanpur, organized a Lecture Programme on women role models from 27 March 2026 to 30 March 2026. Approximately 50–55 students participated enthusiastically in the programme.
The programme aimed to create awareness about the contributions of inspiring women personalities and motivate students to develop qualities such as leadership, confidence, determination, and social responsibility. The main attraction was a motivational lecture delivered by conducted in a hybrid mode to ensure wider participation.
During the session, students learned about the achievements and struggles of prominent women leaders such as Rani Lakshmibai and Sarojini Naidu, along with other women who made significant contributions in education, literature, social reform, and governance. The speaker emphasized the importance of courage, resilience, hard work, and self-belief in overcoming challenges and achieving success.
An interactive discussion session enabled students to ask questions and share their views on women empowerment and gender equality. The programme enhanced students’ awareness, motivation, and appreciation of women’s contributions to society while encouraging progressive attitudes toward equality and empowerment.
