Under the directives of the Department of Higher Education and Mission Shakti Phase–5.0 (Second Step), NSS Unit–2 of Acharya Narendra Dev Nagar Nigam Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Harsh Nagar, Kanpur, organized a week-long Women Empowerment Creative Activities Programme from 19 March 2026 to 25 March 2026. Around 55 NSS volunteers and students actively participated in various literary and cultural activities aimed at promoting awareness about women empowerment and gender equality. The programme sought to enhance students’ creativity, confidence, leadership qualities, and social responsibility while sensitizing them to the challenges faced by women in society. Activities included poetry recitation, slogan writing, essay writing, songs, and street plays (Nukkad Natak), through which students expressed their views on women’s rights, dignity, equality, and empowerment. The poetry recitation session highlighted the struggles, achievements, and aspirations of women, creating an inspiring environment for reflection and awareness. During the slogan writing activity, students presented impactful slogans promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. The essay writing competition encouraged participants to critically analyze issues related to women empowerment, the role of education, and contemporary challenges faced by women.
