The “Samarpan” NSS Unit of Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur successfully organized a plantation drive titled \u201cEk Ped Maa Ke Naam<\/strong>\u201d on 9th July 2025, under the able guidance of Dr. Namrata Pandey, NSS Program Officer. The event aimed to promote environmental conservation and express gratitude towards mothers by dedicating each sapling to them.The program began with an inspiring address by Dr. Namrata Pandey, who emphasized the emotional and ecological significance of the initiative. She encouraged the students to nurture the planted saplings as lovingly as they care for their mothers, highlighting the NSS spirit of responsibility towards society and nature.More than 80 NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive, planting a variety of trees such as neem, peepal, tulsi, and gulmohar within and around the college campus. Volunteers pledged to take care of the saplings and ensure their growth, symbolizing their commitment to a greener future.The **Principal of the college** appreciated the noble initiative and commended the efforts of the NSS Unit for spreading awareness about environmental protection. The event concluded with a collective oath to continue such sustainable practices and uphold the NSS motto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
